TREKnology: Commentorial
Got another email attachment from a trusted source that gave me the NETSKY.Q parasite. Read that Apple just got their first virus, but it didn't get out into the wild. The Inquirer.net calls Microsoft "The Vole" hey, that works for me. I'll go on record that my next computer will be a MAC. There are those people who "don't understand" technology (don't want to put up with MS stuff enough to be masochistic about it.) The smart folks who NEED to get stuff done without all the hassle use MACS hands down.

Later I'll post the five steps to Microsoft's World Domination. I understand their business model. It's all about the "enterprise" 'cause thats where the money is (as Willie Sutton said.) You want support? pay for it. Eventually they will leverage their hemegony to the point that it will all be licensed by the user and by the year. They're giving free software to all the schools (and are able to write it off) so that everyone will be trained on MS stuff exclusively. Just wait until you need to be MS Office (Offal) certified (instead of just certifiable) to get a job. You've been warned.

Parlour Ticks: Some thoughts on the weeks events
April 13th was a special election day in my little town. Now L'il Rhody rates a twelve on a scale of one to ten on the liberal meter. Typically, the Repubs can't even field a candidate and there is usually a primary for the up to five Demos that run. So the primary winner is usually the defacto winner. This time there were two candidates, and maybe 8% showed up at the polls.

Also the Kerrytosis showed up to grab some cash and
"charm" the faithful. a complete non event. I want to see a photo of him near a mirror to see if he actually casts a reflection.

Shrubya has so little support in Rhody that if his open supporters were germs the place would be declared sterile. Caught his press conference, did well for facing a clearly hostile audience of...(gerbilists) I think he shows a lot of heart and resolve. He clearly believes Iraqis would embrace Democracy if given the chance, though there are thousands of years of history that argue against it. At the very least it keeps that "neck"* of the world (* and that's really too high an opinion) off balance concerning US. The'll be too busy hating each other.

Projo poll Shrubya's speech hurt or help your understanding of war on Iraq? hinder 2 to 1. The Repubs have already considered RI a lost cause. I'm scared of what it would be like if Kerry had more personality than a Saguaro cactus. (Considering all the Italians here a Saguaro might do very well)

April Fools Day: A good day to get blogging (here goes)
This is going to get started slowly and (hopefully) build. All the comments, occasional rants, and roadkill from the (so called) Information Superhighway that I have been posting elsewhere will be on display here.

The format will evolve along with the content.

My first section is tentatively entitled "TREKnology," Ever notice on Star Trek all the technology just works, never a reboot. This really has nothing to do with Star Trek or SciFi.

Political and other observations will be in "Dizzy" from all that spin.

Rants will be in "Commentorial"

My posts will be brief, since my blogging are limited to the short attention span of my kids.
